Email Sending Limits

While sending an email message to a large group of people using different email service like Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc, there is a daily quote/limit. If you break the limit , your service provider will disable your account temporarily/permanently  without any warnings. Please read the following rules to avoid temporary shut down of email service by provider:

The following rules apply when sending emails from a Google Gmail account:

Rule 01: If you access Gmail via POP or IMAP clients (like Microsoft Outlook), you can send an email message to a maximum of 100 people at a time. Cross the limit and your account will be disabled for a day with the error “550 5.4.5 Daily sending quota exceeded.”

Rule 02: If you access Gmail from the browser, you may not address an email message to more than 500 people at a time. Try adding any more recipients in the To, CC or BCC field and your Gmail account will get probably disabled for 24-72 hours. Error: “Gmail Lockdown in Secton 4″

Rule 03: Always double check email addresses of recipients before hitting the Send button in Gmail. That’s because your account will get disabled if the email message contains a large number of non-existent or broken addresses (<25 ?) that bounce back on failed delivery.

The following restrictions apply when sending emails from a Yahoo Mail account:

Rule 01: If you access Yahoo! Mail from the browser, you may not address an email message to more than 100 people per hour. Don’t try adding any more recipients in the To, CC or BCC field.

Rule 02: If you access Yahoo! Mail via POP or IMAP clients , you can send an email message to a maximum of 10Mb per message for the free Yahoo Mail Service, or 20Mb per message for Yahoo! Mail Plus.

Rule 03: Always double check email addresses of recipients before hitting the Send button. That’s because your account will get disabled if the email message contains a large number of non-existent or broken addresses that bounce back on failed delivery.

AOL Mail: The following restrictions apply when sending emails from a AOL Mail account:

Rule 01: You cannot send more than 100 recipients per message or 500 recipients per connection

Rule 02: Maximum size of your email will be 16mb.

    Dear Sir,
A lot of thanks for your valued msg which enlightened me greatly. But the fact is that I was not aware of any such rules and unfortunately I opened your msg right today after my facebook has been already blocked. What happened is that I was just frankly sending friend requests and msgs to some persons of both home and abroad expecting a larger number of friends on my facebook. I did it pretty frequently as I get nothing entertaining more than the touches of friends on facebook. What I did was actually from a harmless and innocent point of view. However, my facebook has been blocked right before the government of Bangladesh decided to postpone facebook link. Please suggest me what would be best for me to do now. Thanks…

    Sincerely yours-
    Md. Hasan Iqbal.

    Dear Hasan Iqbal,

I also worried about ban facebook at Bangladesh. But one thing, you can use facebook in different ways.

    01. Use GP Internet.
    02. Use Prxy outside Bangladesh

    Thanks
